If
you haven’t been to one before, a good specialist
car exhibition is quite a mind-boggling experience. The
sheer variety of car styles, shapes and functions on display
is always guaranteed to startle the uninitiated and merely
amaze those with half an idea of what to expect.
This is exactly what we’re
about here at Limelight Exhibitions – our aim is to
delight both the uninitiated and enthusiasts alike with
automotive events that are very special indeed.
Limelight was founded by Sally
Mitchell and Peter Filby back in the early 1990s when they
came up with the idea of running unique car shows in association
with Which Kit?, Britain’s leading monthly kit car
magazine.
Peter,
who has devoted much of his life to writing about the
kit car industry, launched the magazine in 1987. Today,
it’s
known as Which Kit Car? and is internationally renowned
for the quality of its editorial and presentation. Sally
joined the magazine as secretary soon after its launch
and has been there ever since!
Sally and Peter organised their first kit car show at Donington
Park in 1993. It was a great success and since then Limelight’s
shows have continued to grow steadily and gained a fine
reputation for the quality, content and professional organisation
of its events.
Latest Update
The magazine was sold earlier
this year to Ian Stent and Justin Williams of Performance
Publishing Ltd, and is now known as Complete
Kit Car
